A few music blogs described this best as 'trag- jam' (tragic jam?); a lot of heavy riffs reminiscent of Cocteau Twins, bar Elizabeth Fraser's vocals, but just as riveting.

Haven't been this excited about an album release in a while
I hope the richness of the latest preview of "Fallout" from Neon Indian's upcoming September album Era Extraña speaks for the entire album when it comes out in September. Would it be wrong of me to say it sounds like it has a "my bloody valentine" shoegazer angle to it, let alone looks like it too?

Not many of the great 90s electronic acts have made it through in one piece into the new millenium, but Underworld is definitely an exception. Some stuff from their most recent album Barking popped up randomly on my playlist and I was just reminded that I have the CD + DVD set when it first came out late last year buried somewhere in my mess from moving. Need to find it!
One of my favourite tracks that came out of the album was Moon in Water; a lot more mellow than their usual, but it seems every time musicians creep out of their comfort zones, something amazing can occur.

This is misleading for two reasons. There is no bear, and there really isn't a heaven.
But there are lovesick teenagers, they are from Brooklyn and sound sad ( in a good way).

Brilliant first-release track from Digitalism's latest EP which first surfaced around mid October. No Pogo, but this track almost got me mistaking them for Daft Punk and their heavy electric guitar synth thing. Currently have it on heavy rotation at work and bobbing my head away through it all. Won't be surprised if this started getting heavy rotation on the radio soon and some remixes, but probably not until people get over Duck Sauce and that Barbara Streisand tune.

Four Tet's Kieran Hebden is quite the eclectic sound mixbag. He has had all sorts of amazing collaborations, a nice roster of albums and a genre reach that makes him a guy you would've touched on at least once in your musical experiences. This track is from his latest album, which brings a whole new meaning to 8 bit sounds.

So James Murphy, aka LCD Soundsystem, said that he will be stopping at their current album 'Sound of Silver'. They were showing a lot of promise; pulling the plug a bit too early?

One of my favourite radio station programs, Triple J's Soundlab, is full of amazing surprises, and last night didn't fail to deliver. They played a remix of a track by an experimental UK group Grasscut and I was completely floored by how fucking eerily good it was, especially towards the second half of the song. Dance with a despairingly hopeless panic attack with sirens blaring in the background and a non-stop beat that won't let you off the hook until the end. It did help that it was late and raining.

All the way back in 2001, before their popular dance electro albums Bright Like Neon Love and In Ghost Colours, Cut Copy released their first EP titled I Thought of Numbers. It contained 7 tracks, some of which reminded me of something the Avalanches would've done. Six or so years later, they would play a large role in propelling Australia's electro scene, alongside The Presets and The Midnight Juggernauts.

The MFA (Motherfucking Allstars) are London-based duo Rhys Evans (Welsh) and Alastair Douglas (not Welsh).
This is the song that made them popular and look as promising as the Chemical Brothers. Minimalistic electro dance is probably the easiest way I can describe this.

Heard these fellas on the radio, found 'em pretty neat and thought I'd write something up. If you're fancying harder, more raw electro, then this might be your cup of tea.

... then you would find a song like this in its soundtrack. Or maybe not, but it is a great tune. How would you describe it?
Better known as one half of Digitalism, this is Jens Moelle's solo project as a part of his recently released EP.

The mixes are seamless, and we're seeing a diverse range of artists (Fever Ray to The Jacksons). Love the teasers with some of the songs (familiar cut copy, daft punk and air melodies make an appearance to tickle your musical senses).
This is brilliant! Everyone will definitely find something they like in this mix.

I know nothing about Neon Indian other then the fact their/ his sound is a mix of 80s synth pop, video game soundtracks and a tune that provokes a desire to take a really really long roadtrip.
I don't know about you, but these tunes beg for me to call my friends out for good old fashioned fun.

Picked up this great tune by Gui Boratto, a Brazillian electro producer. Play this towards the end of a big night out
Take a chance in those wonderful words you just don’t understand.
I can show you the way but I know that you’ll never be there.
All the time, all the shine of your eyes I would never forget.
All I know there’s no time, there’s no life, there is no turning back.
There is no turning back……….
